When you choose McCue Custom Homes as the builder of your new home, we will be entering into a relationship with you and your family for 6 months or more, while your home is being designed and built. It will be somewhat like a short term business partnership. And we take that relationship/partnership with you very seriously. Good, straight-forward, honest communication will be one of the main keys to a positive, successful outcome of our time spent together. So we would like to start here by briefly introducing our company to you, and telling you a little about who we are, our experience level in homebuilding, how we operate, and something of our philosophy and values of doing business.
I, (Kenneth McCue) am the owner, builder and managing principal of McCue Custon Homes LLC. I began my homebuilding career in 1976 when I built my first spec house in my hometown of Mexico, Missouri. I also owned and managed a real estate brokerage firm in Mexico at that time, and sold the homes that I built through my real estate company. Since that time, I have built over 150 homes, apartments, duplexes, and small commercial buildings. I have also been involved as a land developer in developing 5 subdivisions. I continue to be licensed as a real estate broker in Missouri.
I first saw the Ozark Mountains of Southwest Missouri, and Branson, in the late 1960's when I was a student at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in Springfield. In 1969, I received a B.S. in Business from SMSU. Now, some 30 plus years later, I am back in the Ozarks Mountains of Branson, living where I like to live, and doing what I like to do --- building single-family homes.
My homebuilding business is planned and organized to remain as a small business. I only build a few homes a year. That practice is to your advantage as a prospective new home customer because I am then able to be a "hands on" builder, and maintain the high standards of construction, while providing superior customer service and communications.
My primary role is as a project manager. That means that my main function is to be the manager of the entire process of designing and building your new home. There are numerous advantages to you as an owner in choosing a builder who combines both design and build services.
By plan, I am the only employee of McCue Custom Homes. All of the other individuals affiliated with me are independent contractors. I have purposely organized the company in this fashion to achieve greater accountability and responsibility by all team members, from designers to sub-contractors to tradesmen to service providers to administrative personnel.
Which leads me to the main point of this introduction --- the standards that you can, and should, expect from me as your homebuilder. Meeting and exceeding ALL of your expectations should be the overall goal for me as your builder. To help achieve that goal, I work only with the best materials, the most skilled and knowledgable sub-contractors, and the most reliable vendors and suppliers. From your homes conceptual design to its final completion, I manage all the details --- and there are literally hundreds --- in the building process. This close oversight ensures quality workmanship and construction. And the end result is a fine home for you that is built on time and on budget.
